Things are going well here in Venezuela.
I'm satisfied with what I'm doing. Better say, overjoyed but not satisfied.
Definitely better say that!!!!
That are so many things I wish I could do... We at church wish we could do... We just need workers here! There are so many things to do! So much to accomplish for Jesus!
We are a little church that wants and CAN do a lot for this people. We just need faithful workers... We have great ways of how impact people for the kingdom. We start doing those cool things... But we get short in workers when we most need them!
It's been two weeks now we've just had a camp. It was GREAT. We had 16 teenagers. They were all impacted by the presence of Jesus. One of the kids said: "I never knew I could feel Him inside of me." They are excited! Next week we have "tours": we go to neighborhoods, squares, streets... and we are gonna have an invited speaker, an evangelist. This week we are practicing dramas for the tours. They're doing good!
In the middle of everything that's going on, this important staff person decided to leave. Good thing the kids were so impacted by the camp week that it didn't "shake" them (this person was their leader for a whole year and the person they looked up to).
Children! Lots of them. Thirsty. Hungry. As Pastor here says: children come. Yeah, they do! If we had more workers we would easily have a hundred of them at Conexion Kids.
95% of Venezuela's population are youth. President Chavez knows that and is recruiting (spl?) them for his army. I wish they all belonged to the army of Christ.
As the song goes: Who will go for us?
My mom is here! It's good that she could come and see what I do, where I live. I've been busy. She spends all afternoon at church. We usually leave there at 9pm. We'll have 10 days to travel around. It's gonna be fun!
If you have come this far with me, please pray for faithful workers for this little church in Valera, Venezuela.
Thanks... |
